Matt Harris

Matt Harris is a seasoned professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in government relations, strategy, policy, and executive leadership.

He holds a Master of Science in Executive Leadership (M.S.E.L.) from the School of Business at the University of San Diego, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication from The George Washington University, and has studied Stage Management at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

Matt has held various roles at the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority, including Director of Government Relations, Senior Director of Strategy & Policy, Senior Director of Assets & Alliances, and Senior Director of the Executive Office. He also served as Manager of Government & Authority Relations, Manager of Inter-Governmental Relations, and Government Relations Specialist at the same organization.

Prior to his time at the Airport Authority, Matt Harris worked as an Assistant to the Secretary for Policy at the US Department of Transportation (DOT), a Senior Account Executive at Fleishman-Hillard, and a Legislative Assistant at the U.S. House of Representatives.

His expertise lies in government relations, executive leadership, strategy development, policy implementation, and alliance management, making him a valuable asset with a deep understanding of the political landscape at both local and national levels.
