Prior to founding Datastory, Matt significantly contributed to Towson University’s Center for GIS from 1995 to 2008, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing its standing as a premier GIS consultancy in the Mid-Atlantic region. Between 2008 and 2012, he laid the groundwork for Datastory whilst creating an award-winning GIS and research team at MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services. His work during this period integrated GIS into the decision-making processes for brokers and their clients, leveraging the power of maps to illuminate real estate strategies. Ultimately, a growing demand for extended consulting services led to the establishment of Datastory Consulting in 2013, further underscoring Matt's ability to adapt and innovate in the face of market needs.
