Dr. Matt Donne is a scientist with a strong background in regenerative medicine, in vitro and in vivo models, bio-banking, company culture, and early-stage company formation. He holds a Ph.D. in Developmental and Stem Cell Biology from the University of California, San Francisco, an M.S. in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Stem Cell Biology from San Francisco State University, and a B.A. in Biology and Italian from Wesleyan University.
With a wealth of experience in various organizations, Dr. Donne has held key positions such as Director of Business Operations at 4:59 NewCo (a 5AM Ventures Company), Chief of Staff and Head of Operations at Spring Discovery, Advisor at Parallel Bio, Head of Operations at AGE1 at The Longevity Fund, Lead Scientist at VitroLabs Inc, and Stem Cell Specialist at UCSF, among others.
Dr. Donne has also been actively involved in academia and community engagement, having served as a UCSF Graduate Division Alumni Association Board Member, ITA Marketing Analyst Intern at UCSF, Educational Advisor at Outschool, and Work Study Student at Wesleyan University.
Apart from his professional endeavors, Dr. Donne is passionate about philanthropy, as seen in his involvement with the Timmerman Traverse crew hiking Kilimanjaro for Sickle Forward.
