Matt Burton is a well-rounded individual with a diverse background of experiences. He has excelled in various roles ranging from marketing to software engineering. Burton attended the University of Texas where he received his Bachelor's degree in Marketing. After finishing his studies, he initiated his journey by serving as a marketing coordinator for Horizon Technology Group where he learned the ins and outs of marketing, advertisement, and branding. Later, Burton pivoted his interests towards technology and became a software engineer at Google, a global technology company. He contributed to the development of several Google projects and was exposed to various areas of computer science, such as Cloud technology and Machine Learning. Burton earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and later co-founded his start-up, Occipital. Their product, Structure Sensor, is used in augmented reality applications, which is used for 3D scanning, 3D printing, and mixed reality gaming. Burton's aptitude for marketing and technical expertise has garnered numerous awards and recognition from his peers.
