Matt Bird, a media and strategic communications executive, is considered a pioneer in the online communications industry and public-private partnerships. With over 22 years of experience in public relations, public affairs, marketing, news, technology, and transaction negotiation, Mr. Bird has led the communication strategies for nearly 1,000 brands and organizations, generating business revenue exceeding $450 million. He has worked with top brands and institutions such as Microsoft, AFLAC, NYSE, U.N. Global Compact, and the United Nations, among others. Ranked 3rd in the world's 'Top 10 Most Influential Media and Communication Executives for Impact,' Mr. Bird is known for delivering some of the most successful activations in United Nations history.

Mr. Bird has held various senior positions such as CEO of MUNCmedia (PaaS), where he developed the first newswire monitoring system with news targeting capacities that powered NASDAQ OMX, GlobeNewswire, Shareholder.com (now Thomson Reuters), and P.R. Newswire. He has also served as the President of Equities News, the Co-Founder and Chairman of 1-800-PublicRelations (1800pr), and the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at CommPro Worldwide.

He studied International Business and marketing at the University of Washington and held director and VP roles at BBDO, IGM, and ScreamingMedia (now Marketwatch).
