Mathias Benn

Mathias Benn is a scientist at the National Space Institute at DTU Space, specializing in measurement and instrumentation systems for spacecraft technologies.

He completed his PhD in Space Technology at the Danish Technical University, focusing on vision-based navigation sensors.

Mathias has extensive experience in collaborating with various space agencies such as ESA, CNES, SSC, and GSFC-NASA on projects involving optical navigation instruments and fail-safe software development.

His expertise includes data analysis, programming, and the design, development, and testing of hardware and software for optical instruments used in spacecrafts.

In addition to his role as a scientist, Mathias serves as a teacher in Space Technology and Image Analysis at DTU Space.

He has also held positions as an Associate Professor, PhD Student, and Assistant Teacher within the organization.

Mathias Benn's educational background includes a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in Space Technology from DTU and prior studies in elementary and continuation schools in Denmark.
