Mateo Clarke is a multi-talented professional with a passion for music, civic tech, mobility, soccer, and social impact. With a bachelor's degree in Economics and Latin American Studies from the University of Texas and additional foreign language studies in Portuguese and Spanish, Mateo has immersed himself in diverse cultures and perspectives. He also completed a Full Stack Development program at Makersquare, showcasing his technical proficiency.
Mateo has held various positions in government, technology, and social work. He was a former Senior Application Developer, and is currently an IT Business System Analyst Sr. at the City of Austin. Additionally, he served as the Chair of the Community Tech & Telecom Commission and Brigade Captain at Open Austin. He is also a fellow of Design, Technology, and Innovation and has held positions as a Web Developer at Charity Dynamics and a Senior Research Associate at the Gerson Lehrman Group.
Mateo is also musically inclined and has made meaningful contributions to the community by creating songs and chants for La Murga ATX and Los Verdes ATX. His diverse experiences and expertise make him a valuable addition to any project or team.
