Carnivore Keeper

- Relief keeper for the Children Zoo area which includes red pandas, brown-nosed coatimundi, spectacled owl, fire belly toad, fresh water turtles, prairie dogs, meerkats, variety of ducks, love birds, sulphur crested cockatoo, domestic and wild turkeys, miniature donkeys, miniature horse, steer, pony, chickens, mice, kunekune pigs, and a variety of goats and sheep.•	Responsible for daily husbandry tasks which include cleaning, maintaining enclosures, preparing diets, feeding, shifting animals, daily enrichment, and operant conditioning training.•	Assist veterinary staff with medical procedures and treatment routines.•	Complete electronic animal records including daily reports, and animal usage records.•	Interacted with zoo visitors through keeper talks, vip tours, summer programs, and animal encounters.•	Completed Debbie Marrin’s Training 1 course.

Animal Keeper

Living Collections Regional Assistant

- Assisted in the daily care of Asian elephants, Indian rhinos, axis deer, peafowl, lilac breasted roller, rock hyrax, reticulated giraffes, polar bears, Andean bears, Kodiak bear, California sea lions, North American river otters, and animals kept in the hospital and quarantine areas.•	Responsible for general husbandry, preparing diets, feeding, restocking supplies, daily enrichment,  handling and restraining animals, hospital care, medicating animals, training new interns, and basic water quality testing.•	Interacted with zoo visitors through keeper talks, sea lion shows, giraffe and elephant encounters. •	Involved in numerous veterinary procedures including animal births, sedations, and necropsies.•	Observed and participated in trunk washes, daily foot care, baths, and training sessions with Asian elephants.
