Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Loveland Business Development Center (LBDC). The LBDC is a program under the Loveland Chamber of Commerce and is aligned with the Larimer Small Business Development Center.  The mission of the center is to provide Loveland citizens and existing businesses with free one on one consulting services, sophisticated training seminars and street smart advisors in order to create a stronger more vibrant economy.

Program Coordinator at the Loveland Center for Business Devlopment. This program transitioned from the Loveland SBDC, which is the educational arm of the SBA.Recruited volunteers to teach business workshops to Loveland business clients and also recruited and scheduled volunteer counselors. Worked with the volunteers to develop class curriculum. Updated website and managed all social media channels. Worked with LCBD clients to develop a business social media presence. Wrote blog posts and created monthly newsletter. Managed and implemented LCBD Annual Silent Auction and Community Marketplace events. Originally hired as the Administrative Assistant at the Fort Collins SBDC in 2008. Transferred to the Loveland SBDC in November, 2009. The Loveland SBDC transitioned to the Loveland Center for Business Development on July 1, 2011.

Program Coordinator

Front desk position with constant interaction with residents; including responding to resident emergencies. Handled resident automatic bank transfer set-up. HR functions: new hire orientation and paperwork, background checks, FMLA paperwork, payroll punch details, annual benefit enrollment.

Administrative Assistant at a continuing care retirement community. Reported directly to the Administrator. Maintained appropriate documentation for facility state licensure surveys. Maintained database files, created all departmental forms and publications. Determined FMLA eligibility, compiled and tracked all FMLA records.

Executive Assistant of the Heavy Construction Contractors Association. Designed and produced monthly newsletter, 160 page membership directory (responsible for advertising sales in the directory). Planned and executed annual golf tournaments, silent auction, scholarship awards dinner, legislative breakfast and monthly membership meetings. Involved in every aspect of producing the HCCA Heavy Equipment Expo (increased profits of booth sales from $12,000 to $30,000); created promotional advertising, sold booth space, input contract information into the ExpoCad program to manage booth rental space and payments, worked with volunteers and represented the HCCA at the Expo

Designed several monthly newsletters. Developed numerous successful direct mail marketing campaigns.

Phillips Printing and Graphic Services

Designed and produced brochures, print ads, direct mail packages, catalogs, logos, etc. in this 2-person studio. In conjunction with creating printed conference material for our largest client, Bodine Automated Equipment, we also handled their conference planning. This included booking hotel rooms, setting up tours to local attractions for conference attendees, meeting room and meal planning.

A & M Studios

Kelty and I ran Matthew's restaurant in Westport, CT in the early 80's. One of the best career adventures that I have ever had. A "Cheers" type atmosphere with awesome food. Our chef, Tim Miller, was a Cullinary Institute graduate. I learned so much by watching him cook. His sauces were amazing. The highlight of time spent at Matthew's was when we booked Ritchie Haven's to play for one night only - wow was that fantastic. We had the best staff of any restaurant in the area - our bartender, "Spike," made the bar the success that it was.
