Mary Couzin is the President and Founder of the Chicago Toy & Game Group, Inc. With a mission to promote innovation and play, the organization hosts various events throughout the year, including the renowned Chicago Toy & Game Fair, Inventor & Innovation Conferences, the Toy & Game International Excellence Awards Dinner, and the PlayCHIC fashion show, among others. Mary also founded Play in Education, an endeavor that helps teachers incorporate play into classroom instruction. With a BBA in Finance and a Master of Business Administration from University of Notre Dame and Loyola University Chicago, respectively, Mary brings expertise in business administration and finance to her role. She has served as a commissioner on the Planning and Zoning Board of Appeals (PZBA) Board for the Village of Lincolnwood and as a Trustee (City Council, elected position) in the same community. Mary is also a former freelance employee at Microsoft and a selection committee member of the National Toy Hall of Fame at The Strong. Her group's events reach millions of people worldwide and are attended by industry executives, inventors, and consumers.
