    Martin Webber is a strategic management professional with a wealth of experience in driving market-led economic growth, private sector development, entrepreneurship, value chain optimization, sector competitiveness, business strategy enhancement, and trade expansion, particularly in developing and emerging economies.

    He has played a pivotal role in pioneering successful private sector development, investment promotion, entrepreneurship, and enterprise development strategies across over 75 countries, while contributing to the introduction of competitiveness approaches at USAID. Additionally, he has created widely-implemented strategic planning tools for the industry.

    With a diverse background, Martin has served as an advisor to National Competitiveness Initiatives in 12 countries, a consultant to over 35 industry clusters and 40 value chain initiatives, and has been involved in authoring key publications including the World Bank's Guide to Value Chain Concepts and Applications, FAO's Training Program on Agro-Industrial Strategies, and Japan Bank for International Cooperation's Guide to SME Development in Africa.

    Furthermore, he has expertise as a value chain and markets specialist for the CGIAR Research Program on Livestock and Fish, in addition to lecturing and speaking on topics such as competitiveness, value chains, investments, and enterprises. Martin has led numerous value chain assessments, selection exercises, and strategies as a team leader and principal author.

    Education-wise, Martin attended Harvard Business School for his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), McGill University for his Bachelor's degree, and Monklands High School and Somerled School for earlier education.

    In terms of his professional journey, Martin Webber currently holds the position of Executive Vice President and co-Owner at JE Austin Associates. Previously, he served as the Director of International Operations at Apogee Research and Assistant VP at The Louis Berger Group.
