    Dr. Martin Parreno is a medical doctor with a master's degree in Public Health from the University of the Philippines. With a strong background in public health, community medicine, and nutrition, he has extensive experience in both emergency and development programs. Dr. Parreno is actively involved in various health and nutrition clusters, including the SUN network, where he provides technical support to government agencies and CSOs. He is engaged in research and surveys such as SMART, SQUEAC, Fill the Nutrient Gap, and Cost of the Diet. Furthermore, he has contributed significantly to the development of manuals, guidelines, and policies related to health and nutrition.

    Dr. Parreno is a seasoned professional in conducting trainings on topics like Infant and Young Child Feeding, Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition, and Nutrition in Emergencies. He oversees several ongoing projects focusing on Stunting Prevention, School Feeding, SUN Business Network, SBCC, CMAM, and NIE. Additionally, he plays a key role in the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty, a flagship program of the Philippine Government, and is a member of the SUN Core Group in the country.
