Rapportive was acquired by LinkedIn. Our team continued to work together, supporting our existing product as well as developing a new product: LinkedIn Intro, which showed LinkedIn profiles of who's emailing you inside the built-in iOS mail client.Intro worked by routing emails via an IMAP proxy server. The proxy inserted LinkedIn profile information at the top of each message. I worked mainly on the proxy infrastructure and various supporting backend data systems. The product was shut down in March 2014.

I originally started Ept Computing as a web development consultancy (with clients including Bid for Wine, Velocix, Bupa and Microsoft Research) and used the consulting projects to bootstrap product development. We created Go Test It, a service for automatically testing web apps in different browsers.Go Test It, which is no longer operating, was a hosted Selenium service. It featured a user-friendly test recorder (which eventually became the open source Selenium Builder). Recorded tests could be edited as Ruby or Python, and run in the browser against various browsers on a multi-tenant grid of Windows and Linux VMs.The company was acquired by Red Gate Software in 2009, and some of its technology for browser testing was taken over by Sauce Labs Inc.
