Martin Duursma

Martin Duursma is a Partner at Main Sequence Ventures, where he has been instrumental since joining the firm in 2017. With over 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur, technologist, and business leader, he focuses on investments that aim to "Bridge the Gap to Space" and "Decarbonise the Planet" through innovative technologies. Duursma serves on the boards of several companies, including Myriota, Advanced Navigation, Quasar, Endua, and MGA Thermal.1

Before his tenure at Main Sequence, Martin held senior executive roles at Citrix, where he established Citrix Labs and led the CTO Council and Citrix Accelerator. His responsibilities included overseeing due diligence for transactions totaling $2.5 billion as VP and head of the Global Technology Office.1 In addition to his investment work, he is an angel investor and mentor, actively participating in programs like CSIRO's ON deep tech accelerator.1

Martin holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of Sydney. Outside of his professional endeavors, he is also involved in motorsport as a competitor.1
