Prior to his career in education, Martin held senior management positions in renowned Fortune 500 corporations such as IBM, Sprint, and Bell in both Canada and the USA.

His expertise lies in new school start-ups, school improvement projects, and overall educational leadership.

Martin's educational qualifications include a PhD in TESOL, certifications in Project Management and Business Process Redesign from IBM Education, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Hammond College.

He has also studied Business Computer Programming & System Analysis at the Nova Scotia Community College.
