    With an academic background that includes a BA in Advertising from The Ohio State University, an MA in Economics from the University of Denver, and an MBA in International Studies from Grand Canyon University, Marquise has a solid foundation for his diverse interests.

    As the founder of Openbox, a design research and planning studio in New York City, Marquise has been at the forefront of creating systems that enhance environments for all individuals, focusing on the intersection of people, cities, and the planet.

    In addition to Openbox, Marquise is also the co-founder of Opendox, a film company that showcases unique narratives in art, science, nature, and politics.

    His passion for merging digital technology with painting methods led him to co-found Artmatr, an international community of artists and engineers dedicated to exploring the convergence of fine art and tech.

    Marquise's commitment to addressing social justice issues related to coastal resilience and climate change is evident through his co-founding of Urban Ocean Lab, where he collaborates on developing policy solutions for coastal cities.

    He recently acquired Stae, an open-source data hub that empowers individuals to make sense of and utilize open city data effectively.

    Marquise is also actively involved in various organizations, having served as a board member for the Center for Architecture, the Public Housing Community Fund, and advisory boards for Creative Capital, Riverkeeper, and Black Girls Shred.

    He is a member of the High Line Advisory Committee, a fellow at Urban Design Forum, and was a Founding Board Member and Co-Chair at The Lowline, the pioneering underground park project.

    Marquise's innovative approach to design, film, technology, and advocacy showcases his relentless drive in making significant ideas accessible to all, with a focus on the betterment of communities and the environment.
