Marlo Maroon is a seasoned event planner and engagement strategist with a passion for preserving and shaping Portland's community. Her work experience includes operational roles in major US and international events, such as Super Bowls, Olympics, and Presidential Inaugurations. Marlo pivoted her focus in recent years to building programs and engagement strategies that support Portland's local business community. Her extensive background in event operations, marketing, and sales has enabled her to deliver effective business solutions that align with Portland's values.

Marlo's professional experience includes working as a Destination Manager for Business Engagement at Travel Portland and as a Partnership Development Manager at the same organization. She has also worked as an Event Operations Manager at TrackTown USA and Olympic Delivery Authority. Marlo is the owner of Marlo Maroon Inc., where she leverages her industry knowledge to deliver innovative solutions for businesses. Additionally, she studied business, management, marketing, and related support services at New Mexico State University and holds a Professional Certificate in Nonprofit Program Evaluation from Portland State University - Nonprofit Institute.

Marlo's values of transparency and collaboration have kept her passionate about working with local businesses in Portland. Outside of work, she enjoys the great outdoors and sharing her favorite places with friends and family, bingeing on sneakers, sports, and food that fuels her soul.
