Currently serving as a reporter for KCRA 3 News in Sacramento, CA, Marlei's career has taken her from CNN and ABC News networks in New York City to reporting on the front lines of California's deadliest wildfires and in Birmingham where she faced the harsh realities of gun violence. Her professional journey includes managing producer roles, producing impactful stories, and conducting high-profile interviews, such as with President Barack Obama.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Marlei Martinez is a proud graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
