Markus Berger-de León is a seasoned digital executive with a passion for transforming and growing businesses for long-term sustainable success. With experience as an operator, investor, and coach, Markus has led successful European internet and mobile companies and has helped clients and individuals to scale and transform their businesses. He is a current leader at Leap by McKinsey, where he coaches executives and advises clients on building and growing successful digital businesses.
Markus has a diverse background, having previously served as CEO at MyHammer and VZ Networks, overseeing the turnaround and professionalization of these companies. At Jamba/Jamster, he built and grew the operation to become the world's largest mobile content provider, grossing $500 million in revenue. Prior to this, Markus held various executive positions at econia.
Markus holds a business degree and has studied at WHU in Koblenz, CBS in New York, and Plekhanov in Moscow. He is a dedicated family man, blogger, and community leader and serves as the founder and former Co-Chair of the Berlin Chapter of H2, a global community connecting senior executives, entrepreneurs, and domain experts interested in the future of the digital industry. Markus is also an advisor to Ashoka and the Co-Chair of the advisory board of Berlin Metropolitan School.
