Mark Whaling

Mark Whaling is a seasoned finance professional who currently holds the position of Global Head of Securities at Canaccord Genuity Inc., a role he assumed in April 2019. In this capacity, he is tasked with overseeing institutional sales, trading, and research operations on a global scale. Prior to this role, Mr. Whaling held various senior positions within the organization, including Global Head of Sales and Trading, and Head of Global Equity Sales and Trading.

Mark's career journey led him to Collins Stewart in 2008, a company later acquired by Canaccord Genuity in March 2012. At Collins Stewart, he started as the Head of US Equity Research and Sales, eventually climbing the ranks to become the Head of Equities by September 2010. In 2011, he was appointed as the President of Collins Stewart LLC and Head of US Securities, showcasing his rapid progression and leadership skills.

Before his tenure at Collins Stewart, Mr. Whaling amassed valuable experience during his five-year tenure as a Managing Director of Institutional Equity Sales and Director of Product Development at FTN Financial. His expertise was further honed in roles as Vice President within the Institutional Sales divisions of Bank of America Securities and ABN AMRO.

Mark Whaling's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in History from the prestigious Princeton University, highlighting his commitment to academic excellence.

Apart from his professional endeavors, Mark is actively engaged in philanthropic initiatives. He serves as the Vice Chairman of the Special Operators Transition Foundation, aiding special forces veterans in securing quality employment. Additionally, he supports Youth Inc., a charity dedicated to assisting underprivileged children, and the Westchester Chapter of the NFF, Golden Dozen, which offers scholarships to student athletes. Mark also dedicates his time to mentoring programs at Princeton University for football and lacrosse student-athletes, showcasing his dedication to giving back to the community.
