Mark Valadez

Mark Valadez is a BS Data Science student with a focus on Economics and Sociology. He grew up in Mexico City with ambitions to create a company blending financial, social, and environmental elements.

With a background in Energy Finance, Mark specialized in developing electricity price databases, financial analysis in the Mexican electricity market, and time series analysis methods. He is currently expanding his skills in NLP, Graph Analysis, and Machine Learning for language and social network understanding.

Mark seeks to develop social technologies that value individual ideas and foster community cohesion. He is open to opportunities in Finance and Data Analytics while pursuing his academic and professional goals.

In his leisure time, Mark enjoys playing Go, reading and writing poetry, golfing, and rock climbing. His strengths lie in creativity, data research, fairness, and leadership.

His educational journey includes a BS in Data Science with focuses on Economics and Sociology from the University of Chicago, along with various executive education courses and certificates from prestigious institutions like Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and Yale University. Mark also has a diverse educational background in global studies and military training.
