Mark Sutherlin

Mark Sutherlin is the Senior Manager of Information Technology at Synopsys.2 He is involved in inclusion and diversity initiatives at the company, serving as a co-lead for the VIBE (Valuing Inclusion, Belonging, and Equity) Network, which is an Employee Resource Group (ERG) at Synopsys.1

In his role with VIBE, Sutherlin is committed to cultivating a business environment that attracts, mentors, develops, and encourages Black employees to reach their full potential.1 He was inspired to get involved in this initiative following recent social justice events, stating, "With George Floyd and the protesting over the last couple years, there has been a need for a place to talk about what's happening for Black people, and not just for Black people, but anybody."1

Sutherlin has also been involved in significant IT projects at Synopsys, including serving as the Project Sponsor/Business Manager for the CIO Executive Analytics Project.2 His professional background includes experience in Information Technology, and he holds a degree from UC San Diego (1985-1987).3
