Mark Staton, PhD, is a well-established educator with an impressive background in the field of marketing. He is an Associate Professor of Marketing and MBA Program Director at Western Washington University, where he previously served as Director of MBA and Graduate Programs and Assistant Professor. He has also spent time as an Assistant Professor of Management & Business at Skidmore College.

Dr. Staton earned his PhD and Master of Science in Business Administration and Management from the University of Washington, as well as a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Virginia.

Prior to his academic career, Dr. Staton held positions as an MBA Intern at Bose Corp., Product Manager at Lycos.com, Marketing Analyst at Valent Software Corp., and Account Executive at Mullen Advertising.

Dr. Staton's areas of expertise include digital marketing, brand management, and marketing strategy. He has taught numerous courses on these topics, as well as courses on market research, consumer behavior, and new product development. He is dedicated to providing a quality education for his students and remains active in research, writing, and consulting work.
