Mark Spede
National President at COLLEGE BAND DIRECTORS NATIONAL ASSOCIATION
Mark Spede is a highly accomplished musician and educator with a rich background in music education and leadership roles within various prominent organizations. He obtained his Bachelor of Music in Music from the University of Michigan, followed by a Master of Music in Music from Ball State University. Mark also studied Music at The University of Texas at Austin in 1998.
Mark has held instrumental positions in multiple organizations, showcasing his dedication to music education and leadership. Currently, he serves as the Director of Bands at Clemson University. Previously, Mark held the esteemed position of National President at the COLLEGE BAND DIRECTORS NATIONAL ASSOCIATION. He has also served as President of the Southern Division and Vice President of the Southern Division at CBDNA. Mark has prior experience as an Assistant Director of Bands at both The University of Texas at Austin and the University of Florida. Additionally, he has contributed his expertise as a Teaching Assistant at Ball State University and as a Musician at Cedar Point Amusement Park.
