Mark Smith

Mark Smith is an Embedded Software and Hardware Designer with a keen interest in the convergence of Neuroscience and Machine Learning. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a major in Neuroscience from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Mark has an extensive professional background, having worked as an Electrical Engineer at Neuralink, a Researcher at Lewis Lab, Center for Neural Dynamics, an Embedded Software Engineer at Raven Telemetry Inc., a Hardware Design Engineer at Co-efficient Precision Engineering Inc., and an Embedded Software Developer at Spartan Bioscience.

Mark values hands-on experience as a key to understanding and believes in the importance of being able to construct and build to truly grasp a concept.
