Mark Pickering

Mark Pickering is a data scientist with a background in particle physics, currently employed in climate science for the European Commission. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Particle Physics from the University of Oxford and a Master of Science (MSci.) in Physics with First Class Honors from UCL.

With experience in analyzing data at CERN and a strong interest in improving public policy through data, Mark also has a foundation in science policy and science communication. He is proficient in C++ and Python, two key programming languages for data analysis and scientific research.

Mark has served in various roles including as an External Consultant to the European Commission, a Trainee at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre, a Policy Advisor Intern at The Royal Society, a Science Communicator at CERN, and as an intern at Accenture and EY in different capacities.
