Mark Kohler

Mark Kohler is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Exelerate Capital Corp., a strategic merchant bank and advisory group that focuses on corporate development, risk management, IT strategy, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He has held this position since 2018 and has extensive experience in the healthcare and technology sectors.

Before his role at Exelerate, Kohler served as the Executive Chairman of QHR Corporation, where he led the company through a profitable transformation that culminated in its sale to Loblaw Companies Limited for approximately $170 million. He also chaired the Audit Committee at Versapay Corporation, guiding it through its sale to a private equity fund for about $127 million. Additionally, he has held leadership positions at Community Trust, where he developed the bank's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Kohler is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and a Certified Corporate Director (ICD.D). He has been an Adjunct Professor at York University since 2007, teaching courses on business case analysis, M&A, and strategy.
