Mark Hannah

Mark Hannah is a senior fellow at the Eurasia Group Foundation and affiliated with various prestigious organizations such as NYU's Institute for Public Knowledge, the Truman National Security Project, and the Council on Foreign Relations.
With a rich background in politics, Mark was part of the Kerry-Edwards presidential campaign and later led advance teams for the Obama for America campaign, Presidential Inaugural Committee, and The White House, including Vice President Biden's visits to Beirut and Bucharest.
Mark earned his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication, focusing on the evolving cultures of news production and consumption globally. He also holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.S. from Columbia University.

An experienced educator, Mark teaches at New York University and has previous teaching roles at The New School and Queens College. He served as an advisor to #Waywire, a social media company co-founded by Cory Booker.
In his 15 years as a public affairs strategist, Mark has managed sensitive campaigns for notable corporate and nonprofit clients. He has also held positions on the board of directors of the National Association for Media Literacy Education and was a research fellow at the Society for New Communications Research.
Mark's early career includes a research role at the Annenberg Public Policy Center post-9/11 attacks, analyzing network news coverage of terrorist threats.
