Mark Grovic

Mark Grovic is a growth stage private equity impact investor with over 30 years of investment experience, specializing in the education and workforce sectors.

He is the founder of New Markets Venture Partners, a private equity firm focused on impact-oriented education and workforce technology and services companies.

Mark has a background in academia, having been an award-winning private equity professor for over two decades, and more recently serving as a Professor of Social Entrepreneurship and Senior Advisor to the President at the University of Maryland.

His educational background includes a Doctor of Jurisprudence with a focus on Corporate, Tax, and International Law from Georgetown University Law Center, an Honors B.A. in Political Economies from the University of California, Berkeley, and executive programs in Private Equity and Venture Capital from Harvard Business School.

He has also pursued graduate work in Accounting and Finance at The George Washington University School of Business and Pace University - Lubin School of Business, as well as Entrepreneurship Teacher Training at Babson College.
