Mark Greenspan

Mark Greenspan is the Founder and President of CheckIssuing, a company that specializes in providing digital checks, physical checks, and ACH direct deposit solutions. He grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, and earned a Finance Degree from Arizona State University.

Career Background

After graduating, Greenspan joined a credit card processing and hosting company as its sixth employee. Over 13 years, he progressed through various roles, including managing accounting for both hosting and credit card operations, establishing fraud systems, and leading business development efforts that culminated in the creation of a hosting business called Secured Servers. This venture eventually merged with their Data Center product, PhoenixNAP.

Founding CheckIssuing

The idea for CheckIssuing originated in 2005 during a restaurant conversation and materialized in 2008 when the company began operating from a basement. It has since moved several times, finally settling in Tempe, Arizona, in 2018. Under his leadership, CheckIssuing has grown to employ over 20 staff members with expertise in payments, engineering, compliance, and customer service.
