Mark Godwin

Mark Godwin is a seasoned engineer, entrepreneur, and product manager with extensive experience in drones, self-driving cars, transportation, and logistics. Mark has been working in this field since 2004 and has worked with various notable organizations, such as the DARPA Urban Grand Challenge, Google's Self-Driving Car Project, and the Office of Naval Research.

Mark is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree, Master of Science degree, and Doctor of Philosophy degree specializing in Optimization, Machine Learning, and Controls. During his time at Berkeley, he worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Model Predictive Control Lab and the Center for Collaborative Control of Unmanned Vehicles.

Mark's entrepreneurial journey began when he founded Automa, a Berkeley-based startup dedicated to making transportation networks more efficient through the use of machine learning algorithms. This venture led him to his next assignment where he worked as a Software Engineer and Product Manager at Uber. At Uber, Mark expanded his knowledge in transportation and logistics, working alongside industry leaders.

Mark is currently the Co-Founder and CTO at Boxbot, a startup focused on developing an autonomous last-mile delivery system. With his wealth of technical expertise and entrepreneurial drive, Mark is poised to make significant contributions to the future of transportation.
