Mark Coughlan

Mark Coughlan is a senior business leader with a wealth of experience in Director and CEO roles within the Cultural and Healthcare sectors. Known for his effective advocacy, strategic thinking, program innovation, team building, and fundraising skills. He has a robust background in high-level engagement with both government and private sector leaders. Mark has been recognized as a three-time finalist for West Australian of the Year in the Arts and Culture category.

Mark's educational background includes a Master of Music in Music Performance and Research from The University of Western Australia, postgraduate music performance study in London, UK, and studies at Trinity College in Perth.

Throughout his career, Mark has held key positions such as Chief Executive Officer at the West Australian Symphony Orchestra and West Australian Venues and Events, where he managed the Perth Concert Hall. He has also served as a Director at West Australian Venues and Events and the West Australian Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, he has held leadership roles at Leeming Medical Group, The Australian as a Music Writer, and The University of Western Australia as Head of Music.
