Mark A. Stone, PhD

Mark A. Stone, PhD is an accomplished executive with a diverse background spanning a number of industries including technology, retail, and banking. Stone is a transformational leader known for his ability to bring order to chaos and create efficiencies and profitability where they didn't exist before. With experience in everything from cybersecurity to supply chain management, Stone has a unique combination of technical expertise and business acumen that has allowed him to excel in a variety of roles throughout his career.

Stone earned a BBA in Accounting from Baylor University before going on to study at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned both a Master of Theology and a Doctor of Philosophy in Ethics. After completing his studies, Stone embarked on a successful career that has included roles such as Senior Director -- Distribution and Senior Director -- IT Applications at Zale, Vice President Planning & Analysis at Zale, and SVP/CIO at Safety-Kleen. These positions allowed Stone to hone his skills in areas such as financial planning and analysis, distribution, and IT applications.

More recently, Stone served as the System CIO at Texas A&M University System where he oversaw a number of successful projects including the implementation of Workday HCM for 58,000 employees across twenty members and the consolidation of six accounting/operations centers into one.
