Marita Cheng is a renowned Australian tech entrepreneur and a distinguished member of various international organizations. She is recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 2016, one of the World's Top 50 Women In Tech 2018, and the youngest Member of the Order of Australia. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronics)/ Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Melbourne and studying Graduate Studies Program, Funded by Google, at Singularity University's NASA AMES Research Park.

Cheng is the founder and CEO of aubot, which develops telepresence robots. Her company's telepresence robot, Teleport, is used widely to help children with cancer attend school, assist people with disabilities to attend work, and assist elderly people. She has also showcased a range of affordable, modular, and transportable robots in 2018. In addition to aubot, Cheng was a co-founder and board member of Robogals Global, which encourages girls to pursue engineering careers and tertiary studies.

Cheng has also co-founded Aipoly, which has developed an application that can recognize objects in real time on a smartphone using convolutional neural networks and relay them to people who are visually impaired. This revolutionary app has been downloaded over 500,000 times and translated into 23 languages since its launch in 2016.

Cheng has been a keynote speaker and a professional speaker at numerous events worldwide and is available for public speaking opportunities through Saxton Speakers Bureau. Apart from her work, Cheng is a board member of reputed organizations, including the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc., and the Victorian State Innovation Expert Panel. She has also received many accolades for her work, including being named the 2012 Young Australian of the Year.
