Marissa Gutiérrez-Vicario holds a Master of Education in Arts in Education from Harvard University Graduate School of Education, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Non-Profit Management and Public Policy - International from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from University of Southern California.
With a prolific background, Marissa has held various roles in distinguished organizations. She has served as the Artist-in-Residence at Initiative for a Just Society at the Center for Contemporary Critical Thought at Columbia University and as an Adjunct Lecturer at City University of New York City College. Marissa is also the Former Founding Executive Director of Art and Resistance Through Education (ARTE) and has held the George Soros Visiting Practitioner Chair at the School of Public Policy at Central European University. Her experience includes roles as a Peace Fellow at the Rotary Center for Peace and Conflict Studies, Part-Time Trainer at Global Kids, Education Support Specialist at Artscience Labs, Program Manager and Director of Ally Recruitment at Public Allies, Programs Consultant at PODER - Project on Organizing, Development, Education and Research, Program Coordinator at South Asian Youth Action (SAYA), and Program Director at The Advocacy Lab.
