Marissa Berman, Psy. D.

Dr. Marissa Berman is the Head of People Insights at BetterUp Government, where she leads the behavioral science team. Her role involves applying behavioral science principles to enhance organizational development and employee performance within government agencies. Dr. Berman is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive training in organization development psychology, sport and performance psychology, and counseling psychology.

Before joining BetterUp, she worked as an organization development psychologist and consultant for the Veterans Health Administration's National Center for Organization Development, where she provided data-driven services across various levels of the organization. Dr. Berman has contributed to the field through numerous publications, including co-authoring chapters on well-being in military contexts and conducting research in psychoneuroimmunology. Additionally, she has a background in professional sports, having been a national champion and world cup medalist as an inverted aerialist on the US Ski Team. She balances her professional life with being a mother and a military spouse.123
