Marios Angelopoulos

Marios Angelopoulos, born in 1961, is a seasoned architect with a diverse international work experience across countries like Germany, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Spain, United Arab Emirates, and Greece.

Having graduated as an architect from the Technical University of Karlsruhe, Germany in 1988, Marios Angelopoulos has been actively involved in various building projects, architectural design, and project management.

His career highlights include serving as the head design coordinator for key infrastructure buildings at the International Airport of Athens 'El. Venizelos' during his tenure at 'Doxiadis associates S.A.' in Greece (1990-2000).

Marios Angelopoulos is a founding partner of the architectural firm 'archiplus, architects' where his specialization lies in designing 'experiential and themed spaces' that blend scientific information with technological systems, interactive activities, and theatrical lighting to engage visitors' senses and offer unique experiences.

His notable works include designing the official Greek participations at World Expos in Hanover 2000 Germany, Nagoya 2005 Japan, and Zaragoza 2008 Spain, where the Greek pavilions received accolades for their innovative designs.

Marios Angelopoulos holds a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and has a background in dipl.-ing., architecture from the same institute, showcasing his strong educational foundation in the field.
