Mario A. Heredia Salgado is a prominent university lecturer at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, where he specializes in energy, climate change, and waste conversion. He holds a Ph.D. and is recognized for his expertise in promoting sustainable community development, particularly within farmers' associations in the north Ecuadorian Amazon. His work emphasizes the collaborative development of thermochemical conversion technologies aimed at carbon capture, greenhouse gas mitigation, and environmental remediation, utilizing agro-waste and residual biomass as resources.12
