Marina Cantacuzino MBE is a renowned writer, storyteller, and peace activist with a rich history in journalism. Since 1987, Marina has contributed as a freelance journalist to esteemed British mainstream publications like The Guardian, The Huffington Post, and The Independent. Notably, in 2002, she curated the impactful 'One in Four' exhibition, shedding light on mental health through testimonies and striking portraits, reaching 10,000 visitors and a media outreach of 5 million.
Marina's passion for promoting forgiveness and peace led her to establish The Forgiveness Project after the positive reception of her 'F Word: Stories of Forgiveness' exhibition in response to the Iraq War. The Forgiveness Project, an award-winning UK-based secular charity, shares and collects real accounts of forgiveness to inspire consideration and choice of forgiveness in the face of adversity. Marina's work extends to the prison sector with the pioneering RESTORE program in England and Wales, which earned The Forgiveness Project the prestigious Longford Prize in 2014.
Drawing from the profound narratives shared with her, Marina authored 'The Forgiveness Project: Stories for a Vengeful Age' in 2015, with endorsements from Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Alexander McCall Smith.
