Marie Pecoraro
Marie Pecoraro is a well-experienced educational expert with over two decades of experience in teaching, administration, and non-profit organizations. Her work in both public and private institutions in the US and Europe has made her a global education expert, allowing her to travel extensively to nearly 25 countries.
Marie is passionate about fostering a college-going culture and has volunteered for multiple non-profit organizations such as College Summit and LearnServe International, which helps teenagers address local problems related to hunger, poverty, and climate change. Her work as a volunteer Scholarship Evaluator for the American Councils for International Education involved evaluating applications from high school students in Central Asia and Eastern Europe, who spent a year studying in the US.
Marie has held several positions in different educational institutions, including the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, the American School in Switzerland, Semester At Sea/ISE, among others. Her CliftonStrengths of Harmony, Learner, Responsibility, Discipline, and Restorative make her a valuable asset in both independent and team-oriented work environments.
Marie holds a B.A. in English & Sociology from Dickinson College and an M.Ed. in Social & Cultural Foundations from the University of Virginia. She is currently working with WorldDenver and Project CURE, two globally minded non-profits based in Denver, Colorado.
