Maria Pintar is a client-focused leader and advocate with a passion for gender violence prevention and community education. She has undergone intensive training in advocacy, legal issues, bystander intervention, and crisis counseling for cases of sexual and domestic violence.
Maria has hands-on experience as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She is an energetic self-starter capable of managing multi-faceted projects from inception to completion.
With a background in Health Communication from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & French from Albion College, Maria brings a unique perspective to her work in the field.
Her expertise lies in health communication interventions, gender violence prevention, and acting as a victim's advocate in cases of sexual and domestic violence.
Maria has worked in various roles including Domestic Violence Legal Advocate at YWCA Seattle - King - Snohomish, Sexual Assault Program Coordinator at Passaic County Women's Center, and Evening Advocate at Capital Area Response Effort (CARE). She has also served as a Human Resources Assistant at Seneca Center and an Americorps Member at Americorps Project YES!
