Maria Nguyen

Maria Nguyen is a recent graduate from Simon Fraser University with a bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences, where she honed her skills and interest in graphic design, wildlife ecology, and Geosciences.

Maria is passionate about combining her knowledge in ecology, resource management, and education to drive positive change and share her enthusiasm for science with others.

She has practical experience in environmental assessment, conducting field surveys (both biological and geological), and working in analytical laboratory settings.

In her professional journey, Maria has held roles such as Water Authorizations Technologist at BC Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development, Groundwater Data Specialist at Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy, Stewardship Resource Assistant at BC Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations, and more.

Her diverse experience includes working as a Stewardship Co-op Student, Office and Research Lab Contractor, Summer Workshop Instructor, Field Assistant, Project Assistant at various organizations, and as a Lab Assistant at Maxxam Analytics.
