Maria Keet

Maria Keet is an accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in academia and industry. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, a BSc (Hons) in Computing from the Open University UK, an MA in Peace & Development Studies from University of Limerick, a Diploma in Interior Design Studies from Portobello School Dublin, and an MSc in Microbiology from Wageningen University & Research.

Maria currently holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of Cape Town, where she imparts her knowledge and expertise in the field of computer science. Prior to her current role, she served as a Senior Lecturer at both the University of Cape Town and the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Additionally, she has experience as an Assistant Professor at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, and has worked in the industry as a Systems Engineer at Eurologic Systems, an Enterprise Support Engineer at Compaq, and a LAN Manager at Brunel IT.
