Maria Castillo
Associate, Carbon-Free Electricity at RMI
Maria Castillo is a senior at Columbia University majoring in Environmental Engineering with a minor in Political Science. Her passion lies in renewable energy, clean energy technology, decarbonization policy, and advocating for disenfranchised communities. She is actively involved in research on air pollution trends related to power grids at Columbia's Center on Global Energy Policy and is interning at the Atlantic Council's Global Energy Center. Maria also serves as Vice President of the Student Organization of Latinxs. Her senior design project focuses on estimating green hydrogen demand in Texas by 2050.
