Maria Brewer

Maria Brewer is the Director of Party Affairs at the Tennessee Democratic Party, a position she has held since January 2015. In this role, she is responsible for planning and executing statewide programs focused on leadership development, infrastructure growth, and internal party communications. This includes designing and conducting skills-based training for local leaders during various events and managing the delegate selection process for the Democratic National Convention in both 2016 and 2020.1

She has a background in political campaign management, having served as the Political Director for Lenda Sherrell's congressional campaign and as the Statewide Resource Coordinator for the Tennessee Democratic County Chairs Association. Brewer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and English from Northwestern University.1
