Marcus Whitney is a Founding Partner of Jumpstart Health Investors (JHI), a prominent early-stage healthcare venture capital firm in the United States. He heads Jumpstart Nova under JHI, the first healthcare venture fund in the nation that focuses on investing in Black-founded and led startups. Additionally, Marcus is recognized as a co-founder and minority owner of the Major League Soccer team, Nashville Soccer Club. He is acclaimed as the author of the bestselling book "Create and Orchestrate," a guide to unleashing entrepreneurial creativity. His expertise has earned him features in respected publications like Entrepreneur, CNBC, Inc., NPR, Fast Company, and The Atlantic. Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Marcus is affiliated with various esteemed organizations, such as Aspen Health Innovators Fellow, Healthcare Finance Management Association, Celtic Bank, Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum, Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation, OZ Arts, and Scott Hamilton CARES. Notably, Marcus is distinguished in the sport of Jiu Jitsu, where he holds the title of IBJJF World Master Champion and trains at Renzo Gracie Nashville under Shawn Williams.
