Marco Delmastro

Marco Delmastro is a dedicated particle physicist actively engaged in the ATLAS experiment at CERN. With expertise in large-scale data analysis, algorithm development, and programming, he has spent years exploring the Higgs boson and is now focused on measuring its properties and discovering New Physics at the LHC in events involving photons.

His professional skills span across various domains including QCD and Higgs physics, high-energy electromagnetic calorimetry, detector prototyping, signal processing, and electronics. A proficient team player, Marco excels in project coordination, having effectively managed diverse research groups internationally.

Apart from his research endeavors, he values public outreach and effective science communication. Proficient in traditional and new media, Marco enjoys sharing his work with broader audiences and engaging in teaching and mentorship activities at all levels of expertise.

Marco holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Università degli Studi di Milano and a Laurea in Fisica from Università degli Studi di Torino. He has held significant roles at esteemed institutions including CNRS and CERN, contributing as a Research Director, Research Physicist, Fellow, Postdoctoral Research Associate, and Postgraduate Fellow.
