Márcia Oliveira

Márcia Oliveira is an accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in data science and research.

Márcia pursued her academic journey by completing a BSc. at Universidade de Aveiro, an MSc. and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the prestigious University of Porto. She also enriched her knowledge through research summer schools at VISUM Summer School and Lisbon Machine Learning Summer School.

Throughout her career, Márcia Oliveira held various significant roles, including her current position as the Lead Data Scientist at Deeper Insights. Prior to this, she served as a Lecturer at Porto Business School and gained valuable experience as a Senior Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer at Deeper Insights.

Moreover, Márcia has been actively involved in the academic and research community, having held positions as a Researcher and Research Assistant at LIAAD/INESC TEC. She was also a former PhD studentship grantee by FCT. Additionally, her past experience includes volunteering at TEDxOporto 2014, interning at Central de Balanços at Banco de Portugal, and working in the Financial Department at Aveiro Smart Business.
