This position has been very challenging for me and at the same time very comforting, I've started as an IT advisor and was quickly promoted to Managing Director of Information and Technology. Some of my responsibilities are; to improve and optimize the company technology and infrastructure, advising about all the processes and procedures, design and implement different types of projects regarding the enterprise, deal with client as well with providers, coordinating work with my actual team ( around 200 people ), handling department budget and taking final decision on new implementation.  Regarding infrastructure automatization and optimization, we have been working with this technologies among other:- Linux- MySQL- Security- Keepalived, heartbeat, ldirectord, Pacemaker- Cacti, MRTGAnd as services we have worked mainly with this internally;- Zimbra- Nagios- Zabbix- Provisioning SystemFrom the network point of view, we are now working with a huge LAN, and an HFC WAN. We also provide Triple-Play services over HFC and FTTx. We also use IPT and IPBX.We are offering IPT over HFC via DOCSIS 3.0, as part of our triple-play package, this being the most challenging, because in Brazil not every operator is interconnected and PSTN trunking must be done in-house.Currently we are migrating every internal service to a private cloud over F5 BIG-IP hardware.
