Marcella Atzori is a well-known and respected blockchain governance expert with a significant academic background. She has been recognized as one of the top 40 influencers in the UK and one of the ten best in academia by the UK All Party Parliamentary Group On Blockchain. Additionally, she was appointed by the Italian Government as a high-level expert for the drafting of a National Strategy on DLTs and Blockchain. She specializes in technopolitics, digital innovation, and alternative models of governance, with a focus on blockchain-based applications and decentralized architectures for Public Administration and private businesses.
Throughout her career, Atzori has advised governments, institutions, academic communities, law firms, large industrial groups, and other relevant actors. She has helped them to closely follow the development of new decentralized applications, understand regulatory and legal challenges around Blockchain, DLTs, tokenomics, and smart contracts, and identify the best research applications and assess digital infrastructure, governance, and standards.
